Back Up Note - THE ONLY SURE PROTECTION AGAINST DATA LOSS IS A GOOD BACK UP SYSTEM. A TAPE OR 'ZIP' DRIVE IS NORMALLY NOT A GOOD SYSTEM unless you use at least 10 recording media in a rotating back up system. The most reliable and least expensive back up system is a box of 20 floppies that you use in a daily, rotating back up at the end of the day along with a separate back up to a new floppy BEFORE you finalize bills each time. (In Conflict Checker, you should make the back up after you have entered new client or connection information.) If you follow this back up system from within the program, you will be able to recover from a problem with a minimum of effort and data loss. We also strongly recommend you use an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with your computer. As Window's User magazine put it:
"UPS devices are often regarded in the same way as backup devices - overlooked until you need them... Power outages are a fact of life and, if you work with computers long enough, you'll eventually lose data because of one."
